Design Process

Phase 1: Consultation

The Consultation is usually 1-2 hours. It is meant to kick-start your project. We want to identify what your home/office means to you and help you fill out that wish list for your dream space.

Payment is due 48 hours in advance of the appointment=$300

The fee is non-refundable after the consultation takes place whether or not it proceeds to Phase 2. Notes made during the consultation will become part of the Consultation Summary attached to the contract or will be forwarded to the client should the project not proceed with Cascade Farmhouse Design Studio.

**Consultation Fee is for within the GTA (General Travel Area-with 20 minutes of CF Design Studio). Travel fees may apply for travel outside the GTA

Phase 2: Design

• Trade Day

  • Site Measurements: walls-fixtures, etc

  • Meet with suitable trade partners

  • Customer Design Ideas-Dream Design

• Concept

  • Pinterest Mood Board

  • Create Accurate Floor Plan

  • Source all materials-FFE (Furniture-Fixtures-Equipment)

    • Select materials, furniture and fixtures and order samples

  • Coordinate with customer on any issues/alterations: Budget and Concept

    • Design Fee PIF and 50% down-payment requirement (based on budget estimate)

• Concept Presentation: Zoom Meeting

• Design

  • Create all design plans

    • Floor Plan

    • Facility-Appliance Plan (if needed)

    • Lighting-Electric Plan

    • Create Furniture/Fixtures/Equipment Order: PIF before order

    • Final coordination with customer on any issues/alterations: Budget and Concept

  • Check design for sustainability and consistency

• Design Presentation: Zoom or in-person

Phase 3: Construction-Project Management

• Management

  • Final 50% of budget payment required to begin Construction-PM phase

    • final account reconciliation (balances paid or returns to customer) after project completion-final photoshoot and final inspection by customer

  • Coordinate Demolition Day-Trade Day installation with trade partners

  • Regular Site Visits by designer

    • Meeting of tradesmen on site at the completion of their job

  • Test out wall colors on site

  • Coordination of FFE orders/storage

  • Schedule Photographer for final photo shoot

• Installation

  • Construction-Demo Day-Trade day installation

  • Receive Orders/Storage

    • Inspect orders for quality

    • Exchanges or Returns if necessary

    • Assemble/Deliver to storage facility

  • All FFE (Furniture-Fixtures-Equipment) Décor and Accessories Installation

  • Photoshoot

  • Customer Feed Back-Final Questionnaire Emailed

    • Ask for Google Review

  • REVEAL DAY! Final inspection by customer

  • Move in
